Lake King Goods Shed

- Lake King is a town in the Eastern Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, 464 kilometres from Perth along State Route 107 between Wagin and Ravensthorpe.

- Lake King Goods Shed was constructed in 1936 and is still used as a goods receival point today. It is located opposite the ‘store’ on the site of the original Lake King tearooms. The ‘store’ had a gallon licence and the goods shed became the social gathering place known as the ‘Hole in the Wall’ which was a popular spot until the tavern opened in 1987.

Dumbleyung

- Dumbleyung is a town and shire in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, 267 kilometres south-east of Perth between Wagin and Lake Grace on State Route 107.

- The name Dumbleyung is thought be derived from the Aboriginal word ‘Dambeling’ meaning large lake or sea.

- Wagin is located in the heart of the Great Southern 228 kms south east of Perth and is the home of the Giant Ram and Woolorama.

-The economy of the district is based on agriculture with wheat, barley, oats, canola and lupins being the main crops and sheep and cattle production being prominent.

Wagin is the home of the Giant Ram which is a man made tourist attraction being a replica of a merino ram which has become an icon of Wagin.

Caversham Wildlife Park

Caversham Wildlife is located in the Whiteman Park recreation and conservation reserve, a short 25 minute drive from the Perth CBD.
