Dog Rock, Albany

Dog Rock, this huge granite outcrop near the town centre of Albany. It is a must-do stop on any trip to Albany and is a popular place for that great holiday photograph. There’s even a dog collar painted around this iconic Albany tourism attraction.
Dock Rock is located on Middleton Beach Road, and a two minute walk from the town centre.
Albany is a four and a half hour drive from Perth or you can fly there in an hour and a half.

The Super Pit, Kalgoorlie

- The Super Pit is the biggest gold open pit mine in Australia.

-  Currently, the Super Pit is approximately 3.5km long, 1.5km wide and more than 440m deep.

- The Super Pit produces up to 850,000 ounces of gold every year and its operation far outweighs any other mining centre in Australia.

- Each year Kalgoorlie contributes to a significant amount of the world’s total gold production and helps Australia to be the 3rd largest Gold producer in the world, behind South Africa and the Unites States.

- The public lookout is open from 7:00am to 9:00pm daily.

Western Australia (WA)

Western Australia (WA) is a state occupying the entire western third of Australia. It is bounded by the Indian Ocean to the north and west, the Great Australian Bight and Southern Ocean to the south, the Northern Territory to the north-east and South Australia to the south-east. Western Australia is Australia's largest state with a total land area of 2,529,875 square kilometres(976,790 sq mi, and the second-largest country subdivision in the world – however, a significant part of it is sparsely populated. The state has approximately 2.4 million inhabitants(around 11% of the national total),and 92% of the state's population lives in the south-west corner of the state.
